Overview

Our Department seeks to provide a parks and recreation system that meets the needs of current residents and future generations. We strive to preserve and protect the City’s open space, water, cultural, and natural resources. Our parks and recreation programs are designed to enhance the quality of life for City of Middleton residents. The purpose of the Recreation Division is to serve as a catalyst in the development, initiation, coordination, and the support for a variety of leisure time activities and facilities for residents of all ages. We aim to provide additional educational opportunities to the community to promote a healthy and active lifestyle through recreational programming. The Forestry Division maintains the health of all publicly owned trees along city streets and parklands, and educates the public regarding tree pests, diseases, and new urban forestry programs.
