Middleton Public Library - Archer Room

On Monday, August 21, 2017 a total solar eclipse will be visible across much of the continental United States stretching from the Southwest to the upper Northeast.  Join Madison and Milwaukee-area NASA Solar System Ambassador Kevin Joestgen as he explains how an eclipse happens, where the greatest viewing locations will be, and how to view the eclipse safely.  Come with questions and a curious minds because this eclipse is a once in a lifetime experience!

Attendees will receive a free pair of special protective solar eyeglasses (while supplies last) to safely view the eclipse.

And join us on Monday, August 21st, at 11:45 AM for a solar eclipse viewing party just outside the Library!  Participants will receive a free pair of special protective solar eyeglasses (again, while supplies last).   The partial solar eclipse begins at 11:50 am and will reach its maximum at 1:15 pm (85% of sun covered by moon.)  We’ll also be live-streaming the total eclipse on monitors around the Library.

Registration for the informational event on August 17th is strongly encouraged.  Register online here or email info@midlibrary.org.
